I am a Canadian visual artist living and creating in Kelowna, BC. Alongside my artistic practice, I'm employed as a workshop technician at the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus in the department of Creative Studies specializing in digital fabrication and metal based sculpture.
My artistic practice is one of examinations based in creation and reconstruction. With the aim of producing observations as tangible things, current work explores the physical and conceptual reconstruction of objects specifically focused on constructing a conceptual framework that is grounded in imagination, potential, and questioning through the use of 3D modeling, parametric algorithms, and digital fabrication. While my artwork is driven conceptually, balance and personal satisfaction are maintained through a making practice which strives to create a sense of harmony between intellectual gratification, experimentation, aesthetic pleasure, and craftsmanship.
